While we're getting things underway on this new site, here's some background on the webmaster, an assistant instructor at the school.

I teach Shaolin Kempo at Novell's San Jose campus, and I assist in teaching the local children's classes in Pleasanton at the weekends. It's a blast !

Tracy (my wife) is a personal fitness trainer, aerobics instructor and cardio-kick boxing instructor at the school. Her cardio-kick boxing classes are really good fun, and a great work-out.

Ki, Charlie, Tracy and I started taking Shaolin Kempo Karate soon after we arrived in California. villari.gif

I'm enjoying training again after a few years break - I've been studying martial arts since 1967.

Judo, under 8th Dan Sensi Otani. Competed at National Schoolboy level in UK.
Goshin-Jutsu Okinawan fighting art - became an instructor in 1977
Feng Sau (Hand of Wind) under Clifford Chi Soo and others - awarded black sash in 1978
Fong Yang Hong Chang, under Terry Brown the Beggar's Art - awarded black sash in 1980
Wing Chun, briefly but enjoyably, under Master Simon Lau
under Sifu Dutton. Fu Jow Pai e Pow Tzu Pai - Tiger Claw and Black Leapard, 5 animal shaolin style - awarded black sash in 1982

I was briefly a member of the British Kung Fu Council. I've had the good fortune to have studied with instructors from many styles, and I taught professionally for a couple of years after University.

I'm a Jacky Chan fan - his old work was best (Drunken Master and Snake in Eagle's Shadow). I've got most of his old movies (on UK format tapes).
